Luis Dionicio Elera, Esq., is the founding and managing attorney at Elera Law, P.A. He obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from WMU Cooley Law School with Honors, and was later admitted to the Florida Bar. Mr. Elera is licensed to practice law in Florida and in Federal Courts.
Before permanently relocating to Orlando, Mr. Elera obtained a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) in Lima, Peru, where he clerked for a prestigious international law firm in the areas of commercial law, mining law, civil litigation, and contracts. He then joined the Compliance area of the largest telecommunication company in Latin America. Once in Orlando, he worked as a Paralegal and Case Manager for a large law firm that specialized in Civil Litigation, Consumer Protection, Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, and Immigration; and then at a boutique law firm that handles Estate Planning and Probate matters exclusively. He was also a Certified Legal Intern at the Office of the Public Defender for the 9th Judicial Circuit of Florida (Orange and Osceola).
While in Law School, Mr. Elera reached the top 5% of his class, earning a substantial scholarship based on his academic performance. He obtained the highest grade in multiple classes including Constitutional Law, Trial Advocacy, Florida Business Entities, and Family Violence Practice. He was included in the Dean’s list and Honor Roll on almost every term and was invited to join Phi Delta Phi, the Honor Legal Society of the United States.
Mr. Elera is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and French, he is married, has three dogs and two cats, and has been a resident of Orange County for the last 12 years.
